Is a prior reservation necessary to stay at the Townside?

Sure makes sense since we are frequently fully occupied on weekends and for festivities.

How do I make a reservation?

You can book on our website under ““book now”:http://www.townside.de” or you fill out the form booking on this website and send us an email or call us at +49 (0) 421 780 15.

The booking platforms Hostelworld.com, Hostelbookers.com or Hostels Club will also show the Townside, and you may reserve there (costs may vary from platform to platform).

Do I have to make a down payment?

You can either leave your credit card details (name, 16-digit-number, date of expiration) or you can make a payment (room rate of the first night) by bank transfer to the following bank: Sparkasse Bremen,

Up to which point can I cancel my reservation without a cancellation fee and what do I have to pay in case I’m late?

The cancellation deadline is 48 hours prior to the day of arrival. But the sooner we know the better. You should have your cancellation personally confirmed by us so that there will be no misunderstandings.

For a cancellation that arrives later than 24 hours prior to arrival or a no-show we will charge the price of one night.

Groups and their special price arrangements are subject to the individual conditions agreed upon.

What about gender segregation?

Because of frequent demand we have dedicated our balcony-room to women only. All other rooms are open to men and women alike.

What do I need to check in?

An ID or a driver’s license, a hostel pass is not necessary.

When can I check in?

Your room will be ready at 15:00. Should you arrive earlier, wyou can store your luggage in our lugguage room for free.

Ourt reception is (from may till november) 24 hours / 7 days a week open.
But please note: You should arrive before 23:00. If you like to check in later, please let us know to arrange a check in with our key safe!

When do I have to check out?

Check-out is until 10.30 am.
You’re welcome to stay in the common rooms after check-out, but your room has to be cleared out by then, including bed linen etc.

Can I use my sleeping bag?

No, due to hygienic reasons it is not permitted to use your own sleeping bag or bed linen. The bed linen is included in the regular price for your room/bed.

Do you serve breakfast?

Yes, from 7:30-10:30 we offer an all-you-can-eat breakfast buffet for 5.50 €.

For all guest who like to prepare own food: Our guest kitchen is open from 10 am to 10 pm daily.

Do you serve other meals besides breakfast?

We don’t serve lunch or dinner at the hostel, but all around it there are various possibilities of eating out for all budgets. Every once in a while we have special “Dinner Evenings”. Look for details at the information board at the hostel.
Of course the hostel kitchen is open around the clock for self-supporters.

Is there an internet access in the house?

We offer a free WIFI connection throughout the house! And we also offer all our guests a tablet pc for free.

Is there a closing time?

Every guest receives a house key and has access to the hostel all around the clock.

The reception is open from 7:30 to 23:30, on the weekends 24 hours mostly.

Note that check-in is possible until 23:00. Please contact us should you arrive later.

Where can I park my car?

We have two parking spaces; a reservation is therefore recommended. The parking fee is 7,- € per night.

Is there a safe place for my bicycle?

Yes, our bicycle container keeps your bikes safe and dry. The container is open from 8:00 to 23:30.

Are there special rates for groups and longer stays?

Yes, please contact us so that we can make you an individual offer.
